Supplementary Local Rules for the Mid-Am Finals 2026.
Out of Bounds · Course Boundary
Out of Bounds is defined by white stakes, fences with white stakes and/or white lines.
Abnormal Course Conditions
Ground Under Repair (GUR) is marked by blue stakes and/or white or blue lines.
Immovable Obstructions · Free Relief
- All bridges, paths, grass grids, sprinklers and manhole covers
- Sprinkler heads in the fairway
- Stones with tee information
- Benches, ball washers and waste bins
- Trees with supporting stakes and protective guards
- Stone blocks surrounding the ponds on Holes 2, 15 and 18
Drop Zones “DZ” · Additional Option
For balls that last crossed the edge of the penalty area between the red stakes with black rings on Holes 2, 15 and 18 near the green. If no specific dropping zone is marked: within one club-length of the sign, no nearer the hole.
No Playing Zones
Marked by red stakes with green tops. Entering these areas is prohibited.
Nursery Green
The nursery green between Tees 3 and 4 is a wrong green. Free relief must be taken, no nearer the hole.

Key provisions from the Mid-Am regulations that are particularly relevant for players and teams during the Finals.
Team Captain
A team captain, playing or non-playing, may give advice to members of their team. During their own round, the captain is considered a player and may give advice only to their playing partner. Captains are part of the match or team and are responsible for any breaches of the Captain Rules.
Caddies
Caddies are permitted. A player may act as a caddie for another player either before or after their own round.
Transport
During all SMATC 25+ matches, a player and their caddie must not ride on any form of motorised transportation, unless authorised or subsequently approved by the Tournament Committee (EDGA Pass).
